Yep. That's all Buffalo sauce is. I add a dash of garlic powder to it as well.
The more hot sauce, the hotter it is. The more butter, the milder is. Simple stuff.
I've done both Crystal and Franks in the past. Both are good.

This is your base. Adjust from there.
If you want them hotter add 3-5 shakes of Tabasco. Adding more hotsauce will make it too vinegary.
