If we got Jimbo, wouldn't we lose a lot of Louisiana?

Les has a ton of connections to the Louisiana community, heck our whole team is basically from there. Les has a hard enough time keeping the fence up from Saban and others, would Jimbo be able to hold that fence up? Serious question, what kind of connections does he have in LA?

ETA: I am NOT a Jimbo train hopper. I'm just speculating for those that think Jimbo is coming.

What connections did Les have when he took over for Nick?

Jimbo has the #3 recruiting class right now. He coached here for 7 years. He's been recruiting in the South for his entire career.

I think we'll be alright.

We have 3 star players coming out after losses reaffirming their commitments. 3 star players. Think about that for a second.

Whatever you think you would lose by Les Miles going out the door, the new coach would be able to gain back

Publicly, at least, the parting will be amicable between Les and LSU.

And considering all we have seen of him, I'd expect Les not only wouldn't do anything to hurt the program, but will proactively support it.

We would gain

Plus most likely we'd keep most of the recruiting coaches..

LSU is an established program.. Recruits will come here and we don't have any in state competition.. With an even better coach you might see even less top talent leave stare

Jimbo took Booty and made him All SEC. He took Rohan and made him All World. He recruited Russell and Flynn and turned them into QBs capable of winning the National Championship.
What has Miles done with QBs that he recruited. I suspect, based on Jimbo's record with QBs, if given the chance, he will turn Harris into and All SEC caliber QB.

Is Les taking the school with him when he leaves? Like does his replacement have to be the coach of the Baton Rouge Bengals or something?

If not, I think whoever it is will be ok.

LSU recruits itself. Any coach with a name is going to do fine, esp if its jimbo
