If he is let go after this season and the animosity has gone away, how will you remember the coach that won more games than anyone else in LSU history?

As a special needs child that was given the keys to a Ferrari and ran it into a tree going 4 mph.

A guy that could have been much more successul had he not been so stubborn. He had his chances and refused to change.

Best coaching run in LSU history and deserves to be immortalized somehow...not saying a statue, but maybe a building named after him.

His program did go stale by LSU standards however and he had trouble keeping up with the modern game, losing his last 5 to Alabama and struggling to find a consistent offense.

A very good coach and program leader who could have been an all-time great if not for his stubbornness in certain areas. (all-time on national level, not just LSU)

I remember him as an overpaid buffoon that benefited from a goldmine of homegrown talent combined with the new modern era of NCAA compliance that prevented Rust Belt schools from luring our superior in state talent away with sacks of cash.

I'll remember looking at box scores. Seeing receiving stats that only list 3-4 receivers is always the theme.

Good recruiter with a prideful stubbornness that kept him from becoming one of the greatest coaches in college football.
