Johnathan Jones Busted Out the Full Court Pressure Last Night

LSU responded by creating all kinds of havoc in the full court press package.
Given the depth of this team, is this something we can expect to see more regularly (think like Louisville) or is this something he will only really use against the bottom-feeders to get out ahead?

You'll see it on the reg. CJJ loves to press, just hasn't had depth. We didn't do it against Mcneese as much because we only had 4 guards.

By the time the opponent gets into their half court set, there's less than 20 seconds on the shot clock. It's nice. They will do it pretty often.

I really like CJJ, his teams have been consistently fun to watch win or lose.

I love this team. I wish we could have this roster for 4 years straight

LSU struggled for a while with the full court press against KSU. They didn't really "attack" the player who received the entry pass with as much pressure as Coleman did in the '12-'13. He and Hickey made that press very effective. LSU eventually forced a few TOs, but also gave up some easy baskets that allowed KSU to hang around early. The "token" pressure that they switched to later seemed to be more effective. Moving forward I think you'll see LSU play a defensive style somewhere between the all out press (ala Ark or WVU) and the extended pressure defense played by Louisville and Florida (when Donovan was there)
With the 30 second shot clock LSU could be able to cause havoc for the slow-paced half court teams by forcing them to get into their sets much later in the shot clock than they would like to.
