Robin for dinner?

Anybody else eat robin? Ate them all the time as a kid, pot fried with onion cooked down with a little water. Eat with rice and white beans. Damn coonass eat anything

they are very good eating
unforunately they are a protected songbird, except in toledo bend where possession is 12 per day, combination of robins and cinnamon teal

True robin story from a young 34.

Was shooting them around the house and got green jeans called on me. Saw him pull up so I then go to throwing the robins in the dryer. Good plan right who would look in the dryer. Well, I didn't get caught by green jeans, but apparently my mother didn't think it was to funny that I actually turned on the dryer in my attempts to evade the law. Was a rough evening for me.

they were pretty popular when I was a kid...used to see folks shooting them all the time back then.

errrr, of course, I have never tried them because that would be illegal...

I would have to know what the statute of limitations was for killing robins before answered that question...
