Nice buck. Euro mount is pretty easy to do, just takes time and its best done outside so you dont stink the kitchen up.

Check youtube for videos, there is some good info out there.

Skin the skull, cover the skull - not antlers - in water with a little dawn soap and boil. Take it out periodically and use a stiff brush to clean every bit of meat and muscle off that you can. Use a long screw driver through the brain stem opening to scramble the brain and clean it out good. Boil some more and repeat until everything is out. Anything you leave will rot and stink later.

Be careful with the bone pieces at the end of the nose. After its skinned and most meat is off, you can tie a string around the upper jaw / nose so they dont come off during cleaning. Mine usually fall off but they reattach easily with a little super glue.

Once its clean, get some peroxide bleaching gel or paste from the beauty supply store and paint it on, carefull not to get any on the antlers. Let it dry and repeat until the skull is nice and white

we always did the ant pile thing on squirrels and coons when we were kids
does that not work for this, to get the meat off?
