He should have had the opportunity to throw it more in the 2nd half, I mean it's not like we were gaining yards on the run and getting killed on the score board? But, hey keep dreaming!
This is just short sighted and frankly stupid. Do some analysis of the actual plays in the second half then get back to me. Here's a LINK to the play by play.
I'll get you started. A holding call on our first play of the second half put us in a hole that resulted in a 3 and out.
Drive 2 started with a Harris pass that was incomplete and ended in a 3 and out.

Caro that is a defeatist attitude. Reality is not reality until something actually happens. Every thing else is conjecture and mind set. Any given Saturday. No one knows for certainty and there is no self fulfilling prophecy unless people make it that way.
The issue is we don't play Bama well at BDS but do in TS. Last year this offense played conservative and nearly pulled it out until you know what happened. We will beat Bama again. What we need is to match or exceed them when it comes to DL and OL recruiting (more likely match with the advantages they have over everyone else).
On DL that is starting right now where we are getting almost everyone we really need. OL we are getting MOST of what we need. But we need that special five star T that we miss. Misses like Cam Robinson hurt.

Staff does not show patience in the passing game. Some of it is reactionary. The rest is fear that the HC must overcome. My biggest constructive criticism with Cam/Miles is their lack of patience in the QB after any miscue.
Let's be realistic here: LSU didn't light it up Saturday, but we're the 116th ranked passing offense in FBS right now and dead last in the SEC.
It's not like we were Top 10 nationally and Top 3 in the conference prior to Saturday.
So when we say they show a lack of patience after a miscue, and you stop and consider that we didn't have one all year until THIRTY QUARTERS into the season, WTF was the excuse for and the terminology you'd use to have us that low in the national and conference rankings prior to that?
This is way more than a lack of patience. It's the passenger (Miles) refusing to let the driver (Cam) whom he's hired to actually steer the car. Miles is way, way, WAY oversteering and we run into the same issues every year.
Coordinators change. All the offensive staff's changed save for Wilson and Ensminger (zero impact on playcalling or structure outside of being a voice in the room) and the players have totally turned over multiple times.
Yet we still see the same results.
It's Les. You can't argue it any other way, and he has no appetite to change. He's responsible. Or in this case, responsible should actually read, "at fault for this sh!t."
Now cue someone posting a breakdown of that gaudy-arse record of his to combat what we all know his 10 gallons of BS in a 5 gallon bucket when it comes to our total lack of any semblance of offensive balance.

its been 11 years now
this is LSU's offense under Les Miles and it has been pretty successful
LSU, under Les Miles, is not going to come out 5 wide as a base offense
hell Harris specifically stated that he came to LSU because of the offense they ran because he thought it prepared players more for the NFL than spread offenses
No one has every said we need a complete overhaul, but there needs to be a good mixture with the spread formation. We could have been a lot more productive if we would have stretched the field with more receivers when the power run was not effective.

Dural tweeted that it was a joke.
Sorry to ruin your wet dream fantasies of the players trying to speak negatively on the program like many of you love.
Definitely an odd joke to make after a loss. And obviously it would be a joke with a lot of truth behind it.

I'll never understand why so many of you want negativity and dissension on your supposed favorite team.
Just like we don't understand why you put a coach above the program and have low expectations.

Maybe they meant let him out of the pocket. That makes more sense and would've helped against Bama a ton.
But prob not.

You mean the interception, that Bama scored on 4 plays later at the start of the 3rd qtr? I think you're stupid and oh your link is the FL game frick boy!
I didn't mean just pass attempts, but the type of plays called.

Who has low expectations? Are there people here that would rather see LSU lose just so Les stays?
If you would have been told at the beginning of this season we'd be 7-1 (should be 8, but yay lightning) after only losing to Bama, everyone would have taken that. Most of the predictions here had us with at least 3 losses by this point. So why are you making things up about low expectations? We had a bad game while one of the best teams had their best. Unfortunately that shite happens.

I know what my eyes tell me. We have so many opportunities to pass because BH is limited in what he is allowed to do. That is because 1) he is a first year starter and coaches want him on training wheels and 2) lack of patience. 2 being that as soon as their as in incompletion that stalls a drive or an INT we go back into a shell and play ultra conservative.
IMHO Miles and Cam needs to take more risk and have confidence that BH will learn from his mistakes and execute the next time. Number 116 in attempts is a reflection of the coaches shutting down passing game when the QB stumbles or when his WRs drop a pass. Its not that hard to graps, really. Think on it.

We passed one time less than we ran...for 3x the yardage

Or it's a reflection that we have a back averaging 7 yards every time he touches the ball. Are you people serious?

Eggs fricking xactly!!!!!
Just because he threw out the i formation with 1 or 2 receivers doesn't mean they "let him loose" That means they almost guaranteed a 3 and out.

Wow, Passing plays usually go longer than running plays? Tell me more.
I'm not surprised the point was lost on you though.

It's like I am in bizzaro world. If the pass wouldn't be effective Miles would never call a passing play for the remainder of the game, but if the run isn't working this guy dials up a million more runs til we lose. I just don't get that philosophy and I guess that's why they pay him the big bucks.

Not 116 in attempts. 116 in Passing offense. We haven't stumbled or dropped passes in almost a month. We're STILL here.
5 years after canning Crowton, we're STILL HERE.
With a total turnover of the offensive staff other than Wilson and Ensminger, the highest paid OC in America and a coach getting paid in excess of $4 million/year...
It's pathetic.

the run is never not effective to CLM...we are wearing them down...we aren't trying to do it over the course of a game with bama we are trying to do it over the course of a decade
2.1 ypr>6.7ypp duh

he gets paid the "big bucks" for being the most successful coach in LSU's history
