4 is plenty. A case could be made for 6 where top 2 get a bye.
To me the biggest complaint is the human committee. I'd be happy w BCS system and taking top 4 from that.

Four is not enough. There needs to be at least 6 spots and better, 8 spots. Winner of power conference in automatically and 3 at large for 8 spots.
People that keep yapping on about diminishing the regular season in FBS will watch every other level of team sports in existence that has a larger playoff, and be perfectly fine with it.
Change needs to occur.

dumbest reason that people say about messing up the regular season , just the opposite .....
You would have more interest and more importance for more teams if their were an 8 team playoff ......
It makes zero sense to have a four team playoff with five power conferences..... As another poster said conference champs from power 5 and 3 at large ......;

this argument is so retarded. Games are more important now than before a playoff. More teams and fans still have a shot to make a playoff...making the game more interesting. Should be 8 teams minimum.
