X-Dural,
Y-Jeter
Z-Dupre
H-D Willy, Mouton, Ducre
R-Fournette, Guice,

So many options, plus it will open the box. It's practically an offset I also the H Back can lineup on the same side as the RB and it's like an I formation.
Florida ran this during Meyers Era and they had a killer ground game running counters, quick dives, reads, sweeps, options, traps. It's also considered a trips on the left. It's open for lots of crossing routes, screens, rails, seam routes by the tight end.

Because Bo didn't use that formation in 1971 at Michigan

I'm dropping both safeties down, playing quarters/man, and still have nine in the box.

we ran that a few times in the 2nd quarter...with success...they decided to go back to the I formation. Brilliant coaching

You realize that that formation is essentially the same as a 1TE 2WR I formation? As far as they defense is concerned anyway

We use this, or something similar several times a game.

Miles wants to play smash mouth, even when it doesn't work.

Nothing.

Doesn't change the fact Harris was 6/19.

How? Only difference with what we do now and that is that it's an offset I and in shotgun. That's it. Our base personnel is 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 FB, and a RB. Exactly the same as that.

No it's not.

That formation was used quite a bit Saturday. When Alabama saw Diarse and Quinn at the X and Z they knew it was 100% run. When Dural and Dupre were in they used the pressure/blitz because they knew LSU would throw. OL got manhamdled and we see how that worked out.

Passing out of this and the i formation takes 4-5 seconds to develop. Considering LSU O-Line versus Bama, it didn't work as they were on Harris after 2 seconds. Because the offensive was NOT prepared to be creative on the fly, they had to stick to the plays that were practiced for two weeks and mailed it in.

Where is the quick slant and bubble screen? LSU is the worst at making 2nd half adjustments.

Winning!
