meh not really

City isn't a big club. Being a rich club does not make you a big club. Plenty of big clubs right now that are not buying players by the bundles completely out spending everyone.

Chelsea struck gold at the right time. No FFP and winning titles during the the world wide explosion of the EPL giving them maximum exposure booming their fan base an appeal.

Seems more in eye of beholder to me. You have a lot of the clubs with larger fanbases referred to as "big clubs." obviously they're not going to spend the kind of money the CL teams do. The Sunderland, Newcastle, villas of the world were all successful clubs at some point in their history and get 40k+ in their stadium each week so I guess compared to the Norwich, bournemouths of the world they are a "big" club. Doesn't mean they are well run or even half as successful as some "small" clubs like southampton, Swansea, etc.

If they aren't now, it's only because of their lack of success in Europe, which will change soon.

Again, in time it will.

Who, the Italian ones? How's that working out for them.
