Houston has two loops and is working on a third. Ever been in their traffic? 
It's not lack of roads so much as the deplorable condition of the existing roads.
People here don't want mediocrity but the political system is totally corrupt, backwards
antiquated. its what we get.

That pretty much sums up why 10 and 12 were not expanded to 3 lanes until just recently. It's mind boggling how inept and backwards our local government is, but hey a new bar just opened up downtown. DOTD has there share of stupidity too.
