Stocking wader question

Bought a brand new pair of Remington stocking waders at a garage sale for $20. I've always had boot waders. My question is what type of boots do you wear with these types of waders ? Thanks guys

I have a couple of different pairs...one has cleat soles for mud/duck hunting. the other pair has felt soles for fly fishing and standing on algae covered rocks in trout streams...
basically, you have to buy boots made especially for that, so they will fit correctly and be able to dry out quickly after use without mildewing.

I got these for this duck season.

Only $20 and have strong reviews. You can throw them away after a season. I used them during teal season and for a walk-in scout trip recently and they worked great. It's much easier to walk in stocking foot waders than in boot foot waders. We'll see if I like them as much after a season of hunting though...

Do you plan on walking far or using them often? If so, buy once and cry once. Don't expect $20 garage sale waders to last more than one trip. Cheap boots are two words that don't belong together.
I would buy a $100 pair of neoprene boot waders before buying cheap stocking foot waders and cheap wading boots.
As someone who fishes a lot and who has owned countless pairs of waders and boots, do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on the shite that keeps you dry.
Orvis makes a very very good pair of $180 waders and korker makes a decent pair of boots for about $120. That's about as cheap as it gets and with occasional use will last a very long time.

I guess they were in your size. Are these waders without a boot attached? If not, I'd wear some lacrosse boots with them.
I'd get some hip waders too

Cheap walmart baseball cleats 3 sizes bigger than your foot.

I hunted with neoprene stocking foot waders for years. I always bought army surplus boots to wear over the. Just have to by them large enough to fit.
