Asked how many were dead, British Columbia Coroner spokeswoman Barb McLintock said in an email: “Multiple but we don’t yet have a firm number. Still a very fluid situation so we really are not sure yet.”

Wow. How does a boat like that sink faster than a rescue crew can get out there? The places that they go for whale watching generally aren't very far away from the shore... at least when I went on a whale watching tour.

5 dead, one missing, 21 rescued. Still don't know what happened to flip it; it was a "calm, clear, sunny day".
