Explain "over kicking your coverage" on special teams

We hear it all the time regarding special teams Just trying to have a better understanding...

punter kicks the ball too far or too low and fast so that the returner catches it and is already running full speed when the coverage reaches him. a high 45 yard punt that is fair caught is much better than a low 50 yard kick that is returned.

Basically it's when your punter kicks the shite out of the ball. The returner catches the ball & the nearest defender is 30 yards away. Return guys are usually really fast and shite. They get a big jump running wide open at your gunners. Gunners are usually LBer type. Small fast as shite guy wins that matchup. Kick it a lil short & fast as shite guy has to contend with traffic. Traffic means more gunners.

If you could have seen what Loyola College Prep did last week you could have seen a good enough formation to win big games such as Bama. They had 3 to the left 4 to the right and one to 4 to the middle and #2 and # 4 zig zagged all the way down the field on a 45 yard squib kick and they kickoff team recovered the ball twice and the times they did not they got downed on the 20 trader line ore further back
