Fox Sports - Maurice Clarett learned the hard way. Fighting to leave college early is a losing battle for individuals. Leaving early "a battle that none of these kids have the resources for." Clarett was cut after training camp and lost a million fighting the NFL.

Clarett - "If you sit out long enough and you're not engaged, not training, not getting better -- and not from a skill level, there's an edge from your mentality that goes away -- then you can't reproduce that," he continued. "The only way to get better is to do it, to play the actual game, to lift the weights and be around it all the time."

Fox Sports - Clarett met Fournette when he visited LSU over the summer and remains in contact with the 20-year-old, but Clarett says he won't get involved in discussions about Fournette's future unless he's asked. If he is, though, Clarett said he'd advise Fournette that if players want to receive compensation for their play in college or have the freedom to play professionally when they feel they're ready, they're going to have to band together to make it happen."

Fox Sports - Clarett travels the country speaking to teams. This summer, Clarett has spoken at Texas A&M, LSU, TCU and Kentucky, with stops at UConn and Alabama last week. This week it's Florida State.

It's amazing how the media keeps pushing this, as if it's something that might be real.

I wonder what the NCAA and the schools will do if players ever do decide to that it's in their best interest to boycott. It surely will be interesting to see how a situation like this is handled.

Somebody needs to tell these a-holes that Fournette isn't interested in either sitting out or leaving before his 3 years is up.

I hadn't read that second link before. That is a nice comeback story for Clarett. If you are really bored and want to understand more about his suit against the NFL, here is a summary.

The only advice Maurice Clarett should be giving anyone is how to protect your butt hole in prison.

Why would NFL want any player who is afraid to play? Only an idiot would sit out and wait for NFL.

I don't think advice from Maurice Clarett is something anyone should take seriously.
