Yeah talked with a diesel mechanic up here and I'm gonna go buy the rebuild kit at the local store (only $24) and let him rebuild that housing (seals). He informed me too that little bit of weepage was enough to cause what I was experiencing.
I'd do the work myself but I'm still recovering from hand surgery on my dominant hand...so $200 will be well spent on that.
