LSU did not take the foot off of the gas. It had three possessions in the third quarter. All began at LSU's 25. The first began with a holding penalty.
The second was drive was one of the only calls all night I didn't like from Cam, who called a great game. It was the shot he took to Dural on a 2nd-n-6 on the second drive.
The third possession Fournette gained seven yards on a first-down rush. Hard to argue with a second-down rush and LF lost 2 or 3.
The only other call that I thought was a little goofy was the tight end screen, although in hindsight it helped get the ball on the right hash for the fake.
Any criticisms of play calling last night is nit picking at its best. The play calling in SEC games has been top notch.
