Absolutely not! Not from the people that mattered in the hiring. Talk to anyone with UM athletic/university admin connections and you will find out that answer quick. If they had he would have walked each time.

Yeah because they are totally going to admit they failed at hiring Miles...
From what I heard about everything, Lloyd Carr hated Miles and retired when he did knowing that Les would have to deal with Michigan while trying to win a NC. I also heard Rich Rod was going to be the coach wherever Miles wasn't, so looks like we lucked out there.
And Miles was definitely offered again the 2nd time.
