Name a team this year that looks completely unstoppable this year. There aren't any IMO.
I agree there aren't. But that's something else entirely.

In fairness Cowhead has been very pro LSU in years passed.

Bama - they are built to stop the power run game.
There isn't a team in the nation that is built to stop LSU's run game.

Guess what? We are built to run it. And we happen to have the best run blocking offensive line and the best tail back in the country.

I would save this for Bama week. This is the kind of stuff our guys need to hear. Not that we need any help getting pumped for Bama but this just adds to it.
This team is growing every week.

He MIGHT be right. We will have the chance real soon to prove him wrong. I fully expect LSU to do just that.
But honestly, we look like a good to very good team, but not cream of the crop. Too many holes to point to for anyone objective (not just negatigers).
The opportunity is in fixing those. Hence, we've seen improvement in some areas... some key areas. If the trend continues we could end up more than worthy of a top-5 ranking.
But as many have pointed out, LSU is definitely not alone in being overrated (by Cowherd's definition). tOSU, FSU, and I'd say TCU (because of defense) all have plenty of close calls and holes to point to also.

I guess i just completely disagree. A pitiful South Carolina team did for 2 quarters. I grant you they couldnt do it the whole game but SC is awful.
If bama wants to stop our run I'm pretty sure they will. We will have to throw, but i have confidence in the passing game.
What i dont have confidence in is special teams, our ability to clean up penalties, or the defense to stop teams in the 2nd half.

Are we not looking at these games. On defense we have been picked on with #13. Problem will be solved when we get back Mills. We run the ball great we haven't asked #6 to win games and haven't had to. We play BAMA great every year and this year will be no different. Teams like ole miss and ATM will have stop use from running the ball to have s chance to win I like our chances to win every game out. Will it be easy no but I like our chances just as good as anybody elses

Well they are extremely flawed. How can you watch us play and not think so?
I honestly agree.

Good ol' Cowpie; always full of himself. I honestly think LSU is currently over-rated; meaning I think top ten but not top 6. However, that doesn't mean they won't continue to improve. Really need a healthy Mills, Moore, Gordon and Bower to come back. As far as most over-rated, Cowpie's just trolling Tiger Nation.

quote:Very important point. A team that peaks early in the season can collapse towards the end. You don't want to start off looking unstoppable because you won't see your own weaknesses. What's important is how a team progresses through their schedule, and I think we're doing a fine job of that, especially on offense. You can see the WR's finally getting in synch, the OL improving in pass protection, and the run game diversifying it's looks (esp. the jet sweep fake).

Cool. He's a dickbag, so I'm not sure why I'm supposed to care. But cool.

I agree with what they said. let's hope Miles gets the message before a loss.

I dont disagree too much with the offense growing. If anything the special teams has taken a step back and the defense really hasnt impressed me all year.
I dont think the defense is awful or anything, just nothing special.

Time will tell
We've played no one, are giving up 20+ points/game, and have no passing game. We are currently ranked 5th. It's not that far fetched for people to think that.

This is what I WANT to believe. But the way they completely shut down Arky's run game gives me pause. They have a good O line and good backs, and couldn't do a thing.

Lol....so tell me which teams aren't. Some of you guys I swear to god have negative objectivity. Mich st has played almost all complete garbage teams and has struggled mightily...so has Ohio st. Bama looks good one single game against what might be a bad Georgia team. Meanwhile LSU has won four power 5 games and 5 games overall with only one game having a questionable outcome...and our qb just threw for 200 plus yards... You can't win with you stupid whiney pussy mfs.

A pitiful South Carolina team did for 2 quarters.
I also fully expect us to exploit the edges against bama, which is what they struggle with. Fast QB's can give them fits. That should ease-up things somewhat on the interior.
