Florida hadn't posted a losing season since 1979 and had been to three straight bowls. K-State won three games in four years prior to Snyder arriving. When he came back after the Ron Prince fiasco, they were fresh off two straight losing seasons.
Not sure what you're laughing at, but Spurrier didn't walk into Manhattan, Kansas with absolutely nothing to work with like Snyder did. It's pretty comical to me you're even trying to argue such a thing.

It really wasn't that much of a resurrection. They had finished #3 in the country just 5 years prior to Spurrier's arrival and were coming off back-to-back 7-5 seasons.
