Is he still out from the meniscus injury 11 months ago?

sounds crazy doesn't it?
makes you wonder if he's really going to return doesn't it?

If I had to guess I would say a large part of it is mental and it takes a while to be able to play again with the same confidence you once had.
For example, I played basketball all my life and my sophomore year at LSU I tore all the tendons and ligaments in my ankle while going for a rebound. Had to withdraw from the semester, have surgery, and a very painful rehab. I was 100% after a year and still am to this day (injury happened about 12 years ago) but it took me a long time to be able to play and jump on a court without fear that I would do the same thing to my ankle.
I imagine when you have millions of dollars at stake and a short career window, it must be worse for an NFL player. I would think he's back by next week. That would be my guess anyway

And he was supposedly 100% as of March 2015. Probably just enjoys cashing checks without having to exert himself.

Seems like information they should have in the Byrd update thread.
What little they've said makes it sound like he's Derrick Rosing the Saints.

That would have happened months ago on a normal timetable as well.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have legs anymore

He makes Derrick Rose look like the toughest son of a bitch in sports history.

My guess, he doesn't wanna play ball anymore and is giving the saints the runaround. If he truly wanted to be out there he would be.

So many are damning his character when I doubt many even heard the man speak.

Bills fans warned us.
Hey, at least he's on the sidelines with his teammates and talking to fans before and after games.

So being injured is bad character these days? The only thing I see is people basing their opinions on him based on hearsay

Because nobody knows exactly what his injury is. We do know what was reported not a catastrophic injury or surgery and that's pretty much the only thing that might keep you for a full calendar year these days.

Thats more on the organization than him. The fact that know one knows.
I still dont see how that gets him the hate he does from this fanbase.

The uncertainty is on the organization. The full year for an injury that doesn't take a full year to recover from isn't. Even if he re-injured it before training camp that's 8-9 weeks ago.

I really doubt Byrd is sitting at home drinking beer totally healthy.

For sake of clarification, you sustained this injury while playing for LSU during an LSU game?
