only two things matter in football

points scored
points scored by the opponent.

Now other stats are important, and they may reflect how much or how little each of the stats above occurs, but how ever you get more points scored, and less points scored by your opponent is what you must push for.

LSU could beat EMU 60-0 have 450 rushing yards, LF with 5 TDs and 350 yards. Our passing will only have 150 with 3 TDs. We will still complain we aren't passing the ball enough.

CatholicTiger, you are correct. However, I would think that Tampa is correct as well. LSU will need much improved passing game to win later in the season.

Solution? I would think that regardless of points, Harris should get more live action throwing the ball this coming week. Not 60 times, but 25-30 attempts. Expect a few picks. But full speed practice can only help. And I will not be a guy that comes to this board and bitches about only winning by 20 pts due to said interceptions.

Will Miles do this, probably not. But these are the type of games to put Harris in a position outside of his comfort zone.
