Who the hell would run a track when you could run sidewalks and roads and have some change in scenery.
Anyhow here are all the tracks and trails in BR since it's too hard to Google and you'd rather bitch.

In BR it sounds like a place where thugs would gangbang and put bodies.

You may be able to use Bernie Moore, if you are looking for an actual track to time or distance yourself.
Not sure if you can walk right in or not, but people run stadiums in TS, so I would assume they may have the gates unlocked during the day.
BR needs a lot of things, but it's hard to get done when you have residents such as these who get pissed off when they cant 'park' in bike lanes.

Seriously though, frick those people. Park in your drive way.

No frick these bikers that represent an absurdly small % of the population but demand all this special entitlement like bike paths everywhere that are going to be used by the 5 fruitcakes that commute to work in south Louisiana weather.

Any reason you're specifically looking for a public track?

Gene Groves is one of those Glenmore residents caught by surprise. He says he lived for nine years “in peace and harmony” with the bike lanes, though he occasionally parked in the lane that fronts his home. Groves says he thought it was legal. Now that he knows it’s not, he’s no longer sure bike lanes are a good idea.
“If someone told you you couldn’t park in front of your house, what would you say?” Groves asks.

Worst lawyer ever.

I am. Except when I gotta drive 10 mph in a 45 cause I gotta give some selfish prick " 3 feet" and he 's riding down the middle of the street.

There's a track at North Park in Denham Springs.

Where in the bloody frick are you talking about? Why wouldn't you tell us the name of this city that pisses you off so much?

Actually Nola needs bike lanes badly. But that city has some of the worst infrastructure in the country, so it won't happen. Hell, being in the industry, I'd rather see them finally remove the lead waterline and cypress log storm pipes, before they spend money on bike lanes. Not to mention that most homes don't have driveways, so that makes it tough.
I can't speak for BR, but I'm sure it needs lanes too. You can easily ride a bike comfortably from October to early April, without much sweating. Colorado has spent a ton of money putting lanes everywhere. And even though there's a huge Mexican population (which Texans love to blame their obesity rate on), yet they are mosty skinny. The fattest people in this state are people eat of Denver, in the sticks.
Louisiana and the south in general, are very fat. Part of it is the diet, but also the sedentary lifestyle. Except maybe the Cajuns that two step that fat away.

Gee, if only bikes had a special lane, so they wouldn't slow down car traffic.

Are you not aware of how many bike lines and trails have been built in N.O. in the last 10 years? Probably the biggest uptick of any city in the country.
