I really hope you can get a great deal somewhere. Corn is too high where I live in Alabama. Soybeans are too
I found this:

O'neals in Ruston has corn for $5.50/50lbs if you buy a pallet. It's $5.90 if not.

Rice Bran is $6.00/50lbs.

Reb, is the flavored bran at O'neals $6? I need to make a trip there soon. The feed store on north market in Shreveport is closer to 9 or 10 for the flavored sacks (even though it's the same bags and all).

No, not flavored.

I didn't ask about the flavored stuff.

Unflavored deer corn at Henley Feed in El Dorado, AR has it in 50# bags at $220/pallet, tax included. Price by the bag is $5.75. They have plenty of corn as they receive trucks 1-2 times/wk until January. They also repair On Time feeders for $5. Seemed like really nice folks.

That's a ridiculous price considering how much you bought. My FIL used to buy a ton for like $150 about ten years ago. It's insane how much the price of corn has increased

I have a contact in avoyelles that sells it in bulk. Will fill your container or will provide and fill you a super sack. Not sure what his current prices are but it's usually much better than by the sack prices. Let me know if interested

Thanks Obama and government mandated ethanol.

On a related note, I drove from Lafayette to Alexandria last week and from Carencro to way past Opelousas there was corn scattered all over I-49. I bet someone bought a super sack and it got a hole in it. All I could think about was how pissed some coonass was gonna be when he got to his lease in North Louisiana and 1/2 his corn was missing.

True, but at least it's gone down some the past few years. Wasn't that long ago it was running nearly $10/50# bag around here.

From Washington parish..no cheap corn here had to go to foxworth ms to get 4 tons (for 3 people) this past weekend for 6 a sack..cheapest I found it for in around here was 7..saved 200 by driving the extra 50 miles.. Not worth the trip for one ton but for four tons it was worth it

A bushel of corn is 56lb. 2000/56=35.7 bushels.
$150/35.7 bushels=$4.20 per bushel.
Corn on the market today is selling for $3.82 per bushel
It is insane to me how cheap corn is compared to everything else like chemicals, fertilize, fuel, seed, and land.
Edit: a bag of seed is about $400 for 50lbs.
