DIY replacement is about as simple as it was on the 5/5s and 3g/3gs (suction cup method). There are a few extra screws to remove that secure the display's ribbon cables and the home button/fingerprint scanner. Search YouTube for "iphone 6 screen replacement" and you'll have your pick of teardown videos.
For the actual parts, lots of choices on Amazon in the $75 range. Search "Iphone 6 LCD" plus the color you need (white or black) on Amazon. You'll notice reviews for them vary. The actual variable here is not where the screens were made, but rather who's selling them (Low cost production means lots of duds, and some sellers do a better job of testing and weeding out the duds.) They all come from the same couple of factories.
Pretty much every screen will come with the toolkit (just make sure it does, because you will need it).
This one seems ok: LINK
If you get one that's "Fulfilled by Amazon" then it's a risk-free purchase.
