There's a lot of stuff written out there on why going for it is the correct move in that situation, but this is a shining example. You score and the game is sealed. You fail and Dallas has to go 99 yards. The FG had marginal value there.

I agree. TD ends it. If you fail, 99 yards to go up three isn't much worse than 75-80 yards to go down six.

How about you just run the damn ball on 3rd down and maybe score that way. If not you still get to run 40 seconds off the clock.

You just can't kill the clock, absolutely terrible. Romo doesn't score with 40 less seconds

The play they ran should have been their forth down play. But also. How do u roll opposite of your best WR?
