Good morning.

We went to the 9/11 museum/memorial this past spring with a group of 8th graders. Some weren't born but mine was 7 months old. They were pretty much fascinated and sucked into the stories and news broadcasts that were in the memorial.

So many questions, mainly "why??". What could I tell them??

Why?

Because we are the greatest country in the world, the most free country in the world. A country where it's people rule and where different opinions are celebrated. We are that shining light on a hill, we are a very giving nation, it's in our DNA as a country to be the very best and to have the best warriors fighting for her

Some people in this world have, will, and will always envy us for it. It's up to our next generation, your young kids to protect her by remembering and knowing the past, for that understanding will be the foundation for them To carry on her tradition
