I really don't understand people's obsession with emphasizing my/their/our smallness in the universe. It doesn't change anything. I mean, anyway, the point has been beaten to death.

It's good brain food. Makes you think about the scale of distances that exist out there.

Of course there was once a point in man's history when the east coast to the west coast seems like an almost impossible venture. Now we can do it in a day. I hope we can continue to advance technologically to the point where future generations will see space travel the same way we now see crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
