I had a different experience with docs.

Chronic low back pain for years. When it became a constant pain level 6/10, went to doc then PT. Physical Therapist figured out that I likely had one or more herniated discs that had since healed but left my back with severely weakened musculature. Coup de grace was probably on an Army deployment when I was on quarters for 3 days. Put me through an exercise regimen and said I would have to follow it for the rest of my life. It has helped tremendously but I still have probs at times and have to refrain from certain activities when possible...like driving or standing for long periods.

Moral of story is I thought it was a herniated disc and sciatica, turned out to not bevthe case thanks to good medical professionals.
