It means freedom to practice whatever you choose without any intervention from the government, IMO.

Getting a little deeper (probably an unpopular opinion here), I think it should also constitute a lack of "promotion" of any certain religious belief or lack thereof. There shouldn't be "under God" in the pledge, or on money. There shouldn't be prayer times in school. These things promote CHRISTIANITY, which goes directly against separation of church and state. (ETA: language clarification here. When I say prayer times, I mean like what happened in those Mississippi schools where school leaders were leading prayers in public schools based on Christianity. I am aware other religions pray; I am a proponent of "moment of silence" to allow people of whatever faith to do their own thing).

No specific religious practice or lack thereof should be sponsored in any way by any government organizations or property. We need to encourage young people to think for themselves instead of pushing any certain belief as "normal"
