I think the length of charging is only an issue on trips.
For driving around town, I never go 240 miles in a single day. I would charge up every evening I get home and you are ready for the next morning.
My apartment just got two charging stations making this kind of car feasible...but I imagine owning electric vehicle is a challenge for most apartment dwellers.

I cant imagine too many apartment folks buying 75k cars.
