We have the nation's longest regular season non conference win streak with 49 straight, dating back to 2002.

We haven't lost a home non conference regular season game since Saban's 2000 team lost to UAB. (10-13)

The last loss in a home opener - 1994 vs. (#15) Texas A & M - 13-18

Last loss to an in state school - 33 years ago. 31-28 to Tulane in 1982 in Tiger Stadium. That year we beat #4 Fla. (24-13), #7 Fla St. (55-21) and # 8 Bama (20-10) We lost to #3 Nebraska in the Orange Bowl by a score of 21-20. The only other loss that season was a 24-27 setback to unranked Miss. St.

Those are some pretty awesome streaks.

1982 was quite a year, btw. I was there for that FSU game, where it rained oranges on the field many times. The refs even penalized LSU for it a few times, but that just made them play better. We got up BIG and the a thick fog rolled in off the river.
