it isn't racist, but when someone says "black lives matter" and you immediately counter with "all lives matter", it does belittle the meaning of the point the person was trying to make, no matter how silly you might think it is

I have no idea why people are getting so upset about this on both sides

the #blacklivesmatter shite is over the top, but so is the other side constantly trying to counter

it would be the same as telling a someone that posts #bluelivesmatter that "all people that work lives matter"

Because it takes focus away from the fact that #blacklivesmatter. #alllivesmatter is implied, but given the unfairness that young African American males are subjected to by white dominated society, we need to be reminded that #blacklivesmatter too.

It belittles their point that they seem to care soooo much about cops killing thugs but ignore innocent 9 year old black girls killed by black people.

This is the way it was essentially explained by a BLM leader. They aren't claiming that only black lives matter. They feel that no one cares about their perceived plight, and use that title in order to seek awareness from the community.

Same thing as the Confederate flag bullshite and all the rednecks all of a sudden flying them from their pickup trucks all over the place.

It's ridiculous because only a handful of them did it before this flag shite, now they're all over the place.

But ,to be honest. How do you expect white people to "react" to such absurdity? Any reaction is a reaction and it doesn't look good.
