Primanti Bros is the worst meal I've ever had in my life and the three people I was with echo the same sentiment.
Maybe we caught them on a bad day but it was borderline inedible.

I just started my masters at Carnegie Mellon. Moved here about a month ago.
The best food I've had here is Asian:
Grit and Grace is like an Asian/American fusion downtown which is an amazing meal. Even if you don't like Asian food it's really got a great American twist. Kind of expensive. Really good cocktails.
Noodlehead in Shadyside is my favorite place though. Best Thai food I've ever had. Only place to get a decent iced tea. Every dish is great, but the sweet bun appetizer is the best thing there. Relatively cheap. 6$ -9$ for dishes.
