Same issue as last year. He doesn't do enough on special teams so unless he is a top 3 safety in the rotation they can't justify keeping him.
So that either means Byrd really is close to coming back or Phillips and/or Sanford are ahead of him.
Also saw Baker and Golic were cut.

I have the sense Byrd will be ready for week 1. That's why I haven't been freaking out on him. Then again, it's the biggest secret in the NFL currently

Yeah figured that might happen. Too many young guys that look too promising to let go of on the DL and at rush LB.
