Love how nobody had suggested traffic reduction fixes such as car-pooling instead of everyone driving their own cars into the city.

Or bus services, or trains.

You know, what other major metropolitan areas do.

That is part of what needs to be done. There needs to be a another bridge built next to the "new bridge." That way there can be a HOV lane atleast 2 lanes of through traffic and and exit lane with shoulders wide enough for emergency vehicles to use during wrecks in both directions. I-10 also needs to be widened but that is a minimum of $1.5 billion and we are broke. Now would be a good time to raise the gas tax or find other sources of revenue to use to fix it with though.
