The issue has never been the engineering. It's always and forever will be the political side and trying to please every person in the world which is mathematically impossible.

I've seen engineering drawings for widing as well as loop plans dated from 1977...let that sink in...1977.

Would love to see some of those if digital. It would be great to look back and see how undeveloped everything was when they starting 'planning' that.

The engineering was terrible. The downramp from the bridge narrowing to one lane, terrible.

Having the main artery (I-10) with fewer lane than the spur(I110) was terrible.

The bridge entrance ramp from the East side heading west was designed wrong causing trucks major problems.

No East bound entrance ramp on Dalrymple was poor planning.

No shoulders on the old portions of the interstate was poor engineering.

building the interstate bisecting the Lakes, and downtown BR was poor planning.
