The difference is that putting nets under decks at baseball stadiums really wouldn't be that difficult

My last game at either turner or Fulton county was a long time ago when Braves were playing against Hideo Nomo, and there was a drunk Braves fan yelling about "you gay old homo" the entire time like he had invented the funniest joke ever. I think it was a mid-week day Game too.

Atlanta (CNN) A man who fell from the upper deck of Atlanta's Turner Field during Saturday night's Braves-Yankees game is in grave condition, police said.

The man tumbled head over feet before hitting the concrete walkway in front of a row of fans. He hit some of the lines attached to the backstop as he fell.

The game continued as fans were escorted from the section where the man lay as a medic tried CPR.

The worst part is he fell to the club level and the usher asked to see his ticket.

Seriously. I know they have to ask because they're told, but its annoying when you see more people at the top than at the bottom, and then you have this falling bullshite.

Terrible. What a stupid way to die. Just incredibly unfortunate. I hate sitting high at any live sporting events. Im not big on heights, and these situations regardless of the circumstances still make me unsure of it.

Wow. This is awful. MLB really has to do something about this,

It took ONE death from a hockey puck for the NHL to mandate nets.

Don't get drunk and lean over the rails. You won't die

He was drunk as a skunk and fell over, how does that in any way relate to a puck hitting a little girl in the head and thus a net?

The net for hockey wouldn't have saved this guys life either.

Maybe just don't sell alcohol to upper deck tickets? But those are hard enough to sell as is.

This is a sue happy country. It's going to come down to Turner Field not doing enough to keep someone from falling over the rail and dying, like a net.

I'm sure there are plenty of kids that go climbing around unattended that could do the same thing.

A hockey puck flying into the stands is something that is totally out of the fans control. It's not that hard to not fall over a rail.

How exactly did he fall will dictate if something needs to be done.
If he was just fricking around yelling shite while leaning over the railing, then forget it. It's his own fault. Otherwise, if he slipped and tripped, then maybe some higher railings.
