Douglas Costa, Fernandinho, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Plus they haven't played in their home city for over a year and are about to kick PSG's arse.

Pay your respects to the Ukrainian giants here.

I always think of Willian as an Anzhi player. Sad they went bust.

And Willian. Not trying to be a dick but what's the point of the thread? Am I missing something? Other similar-sized clubs in different leagues have a much better record of developing talent if these 4 are the best they've developed and sold.

Did they die? This thread is super confusing to me after a few beers and a fresh green nighty night rip when I got home

The Ukrainian league is good. Shakhtar, Kyiv, and Dnipropetrosvk. No other similar leagues are not as good.

Just off the top of my head -

Turkish Super League
Russian Premier League
Portugese Liga
Eredivisie

Are these not similar leagues?

The Russian and Portugese league are better. But Eredivisie and Turkey no.

It goes:

Spain
Germany
England
Italy
Portugal
France
Russia
Ukraine.

At the same time on the music board, he posted a Rick Astley appreciation thread

I'm guessing he's in an appreciative mood!

I approve this thread.

Although, Shakhtar's current home Lviv is a far better city than Donetsk.

Back in the old Soviet league the Ukrainian teams seemed to be the most successful.

Yes, Dynamo Kyiv won the Soviet Top League 13 times and finished second 11 times.

He's a plastic Soviet. FFS, he had a thread about Astana despite Russia almost uniformly thinking of Kazakhstan as a nation-sized dumpster.
