I wasn't alive at the time, so I can't comment on the sentiment at the time, but I've always thought LA Woman was one of their best albums. Certainly the 2-3 before it were pretty bad, but it seemed maybe they were reversing the downslope. But I don't know.


But I don't think Morrison belongs on the list.

I don't know what the future would have held for them, but LA Woman is one hell of an album. I realize it was a shite show to keep Jim sober enough to finish it and any subsequent albums would have probably been even harder to deal with him, but still would have liked to see where they would have been with a few more albums.
