A meaningless stat. Kevin Gilbrides offense was basically chuck it downfield and hope the wr catches it. In his first year with a decent OC, Eli had a career year. He's not as bad as those 28 ints would have you believe. He shouldn't be the top paid player in the league, and he won't be, but something around Rivers' new deal is a must. Franchise Qbs are hard to find and we need to pay the one we have.

Because franchise QBs who can win titles are at a premium so you pay them like it.

Of course he wants to be the highest paid player in the league. Should he be? No. Will he be? No. Will he get a fat contract? Yes. And he deserves it.

and Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, etc didn't have help along the way? They were not a one man show either, it took a team effort with each of them as well.
Thanks for further emphasizing my point.

In both Super Bowl runs, Eli was a catalyst for the team and performed extremely well. without him the Giants probably don't advance to the Super Bowl or win.
Whoopdeefrickingdoo, you can say that for several people on those teams. He isn't a top 5 QB and even floating out there that he should be paid the most is a fricking laughable thought.

Brees, Brady, Favre, and Peyton are the reason.... each one aged well and kept their teams at least as a Super Bowl contender until their late 30's.
Eli has shown he is capable of doing that and last year (his first in a new offense) he produced like a top quarterback... So why not? It is not my money and he has won. That is usually the criteria for the board "BUT he Hasn't won" is the statement many make when someone gets paid. Eli has

Yea what a idiot Tom Condone
is. It's amazing he's lasted this long as an agent. Guy has no clue what he's doing.

It will be a shame when he gets introduced into the hall.
Well get your tissues ready, because it's happening.

I forgot only half a team contributes to a win. Stupid me.

So you want the Giants to open their wallets for something Eli accomplished and 4 and 7 years ago?
This just in, Steve Young feels he has a claim to being the highest paid player in the NFL as well, due to his play during Super Bowls.

On one hand the dude has won 2 Super Bowls. On the other hand, I just couldn't see myself giving that much money to a depreciating asset.

Yet again, this was in 2007. His stats that season were pedestrian at best and it's obvious he had a hot streak in the playoffs.
Without thinking twice, even excluding the older QBs (Brady/Manning/Brees) I would take:
Rodgers
Luck
Wilson
Ryan
Ben
Flacco (If I'm going for a he gears it up for the postseason, Flacco has my vote)
Rivers
