You could not just pay the fine and have the matter dropped. The vehicle had to be made legal and have a CHP inspection. Even if you never took the vehicle back into California other than for the inspection.

How much does window tinting cost?
I am considering all four side windows on a regular sedan. TX legal limit on the front two is 25%. I will probably go 30% for the front two and maybe 15% on the back two.
