I've been out of touch for a couple weeks, Manresa, Tulsa and the country with no phone or email. Man that was nice. Just pulled this up and low and behold no ban land. Had tonight and it was great.

And cuffs and pleats on slacks. I'm old and don't really care what people think. Only fashion advice I live by is dress your age. I don't try to be hip. I was hip when it was original. Kind of like being born again- sorry I got it right the first time.

I'll be in Ninos later in the week. Elton reads the board. He's a big Slow Foods guy and a great chef. His menu changes seasonal anyway so I enjoy no matter what.

Elton made a pork tenderloin at a dinner I attended on an organic farm. He was guest chef. I think he's done it twice. The pork had so much good flavor. He sent me his method. Wasn't one of those things like a straight recipe. He just did it. Used pecans and pecan wood on the pits as I recall. The entire meal was delicious. I think I even posted pics from the meal here. It was 5 or 6 courses.

Sometimes being cut off from technology is a good thing. I relish it.

I'm not as uptight about what other people wear in restaurants as you know! I probably wouldn't have even noticed the guy in the t-shirt and cap in Mansur's. I'm too busy with my people at my table and the food and drink. He'd have had to have had noticable body odor, body parts exposed or something more than that to get my attention. It's a bar. I've worn jeans to eat in the bar, myself.
