Nothing fun about tailgating at Ole Miss. Saw cops yelling at people to put drinks in cups and grown people hiding their alcohol under tables. Felt like I was in high school again. Too used to being treated like an adult I guess.
Tents stacked on top of each other and if you're going to a tent, you'll likely have to walk through 5 others to get there. Good thing is, if you go early, most tents will be empty. Chicken fingers and 1/4 club sandwiches show up about 2 hours before game time.

I need someone to remind me why this place is always mentioned in the same tailgating category as LSU? Can't be all because of chandeliers and flower arrangements, can it?

This is pretty much it. It's supposedly the ambiance, which obviously includes the women.
I used to go the Grove quite a bit when we were in Memphis, but I always had more fun at LSU. We'd go with a friend from Eunice that was a fairly accomplished fiddle and accordion player. Didn't take long to get a nice party going with women dancing, drinking and loving life.
I prefer that over chandeliers, table linens and Rachmaninoff.
