You know, if it's helpful for your true monitor/GPU aspirations, you'll get the same life and performance (gaming-wise) from the $100 cheaper 6600K. I have an i7 myself, and it's maybe once in a blue moon where hyperthreading actually does anything worthwhile, and by worthwhile, I mean shave a few seconds off encoding time.

I haven't categorically ruled out getting a 6600k, but I'm probably spending the $100.
