No matter what you do, you'll regret your purchase in 6 months to a year. I fricking hate my 980s sometimes because the 980 Ti ended up being amazing. I can't sell and swap video cards as easily as others because of the proprietary water blocks.
The 4GB HBM won't be 4K friendly in a year or two. Neither will anything else on the market. You could always SLI/Crossfire in a couple of years, though it wouldn't be as easy with the Fury X.
Sapphire makes some of the better cards and has probably the worst reputation in the industry regarding warranty service.
