For all the griping about how much NFL has changed, when do ratings drop?

They don't. All the people naysaying the NFL, doubting its future success, saying it's doomed to fail, etc. are idiots. It's better than ever, and its profitability is better than ever.

I can't wait for a new season.

They don't. There is a lot less bitching in the majority of the country where NFL > CFB. The viewpoint is a little different in SEC territory.

lol

u really believe fans push the ratings????

It's office pools, fantasy football, gambling who pushes the ratings.

And for christs sake they play 16 games. And the majority of teams cannot sell out for 8 home games, so really who's pushing the ratings?

Let's also add, the NFL forces teams to give injury updates, for gambling purposes(betting, fantasy, etc). It's not for fans.

The ratings don't drop bc fans don't like the alternatives...

I have already turned to other things, I still watch, but it's no longer "must see" anymore.

Has nothing to do with rule changes or anything, but the closer the game got to being catered to the fantasy football crowd, the less I cared.

Haven't ratings already started to drop? The Walking Dead has been beating Sunday Night Football in the ratings recently. And it's been a regular occurrence not something that's happened just once or twice.

I already have quit watching or caring.

I would watch the Saints in the playoffs.

as a former season ticket holder, I gave them up and quit watching/caring when the prices went through the roof. yes, there was some withdrawal at first but now the NFL season is pretty much a non event; ditto the super bowl. I couldn't tell you who won last years super bowl.

-When people realize it's just a game.
-When they realize that monetary the only winners are the owners/players and the only losers are the fans.
-when people realize that there's no "we" since the organization doesn't know that you exist
-when people realize that the reason we root for a team or root against a team is because of our tribalistic instincts.
