I was able to keep my laptop from my job when I recently left and the admin controls are still enabled. I can't update anything, nor can I install anything because I "don't have admin" access.

What do I need to do to disable these restrictions or just delete the account altogether? Been trying and needing to do this for a while now. Someone told me that they can do it remotely. I just never got back to asking. I use my phone mostly for whatever I need to do on the internet. Just got a new printer and I'm trying to install it and I get the dreaded "You don't have access." I've been googling to try to find an answer, but the directions I find, "I don't have access."

Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? Would it be a bad idea to let someone in remotely to help me out?

TIA

Could you clarify if it is joined to a domain or if there is just a local profile set to admin but you are a restricted user?

I have a boot disk that can reset any password on a Windows based domain controller. This would allow you to access windows as an admin and make changes
