I would think less than 5 percent of the people do the actual run and about 15-20 percent actually sign up.

Nope. I love that they make so much money but it's baffling how many people have no clue what it's for. A few places I volunteer get grants from them every year so believe me when I say your money is going to a great cause.
eta: There's going to be an excessive heat warning this weekend so plan accordingly. We're talking actual air temps of 97 with feels like temps 110+.
