Not sure if there's a restaurant called Sadie's, but my sister is obsessed with Sadie's green chili sauce from out there. Not sure why, but it was expensive as frick to ship 4 jars of it for her birthday...

I work in Albuquerque. It's a fairly cool place, but not really set-up as a vacation spot. I would check out Roswell or Carlsbad instead for a family vacation. If you're coming to Albuquerque, I would wait and come in October for the International Balloon Fiesta.
If you're set on Albuquerque then I would try the following:
The Sandia Peak Tramway
The Explora Science and Children's Museum
The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History
The Unser Racing Museum
Cliff's Amusement Park

Bandelier National Monument near Los Alamos is really cool as well.

Try the Hyatt Tamaya (a bit outside of Albuquerque). Just stayed there--plenty of outdoor activities and very kid friendly.
